Update from the Society of Academic Continuing Medical Education* (SACME) Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona

From May 16th – 20th, 2017, liV attended** the Society of Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME) Annual Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.

SACME includes more than 280 professionals and influential educators representing the leading medical schools, academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, and medical specialty societies in the United States and Canada. The conference agenda includes plenary sessions, abstract and poster presentations, as well as workshops for members and non-members who are committed to advancing the area of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Medical Education (CME). The focus of this year’s conference was Cutting Edge CPD/CME: US and Beyond US Borders.

liV’s presence and intention at the meeting was focused on keeping up-to-date with advancements in CPD/CME methodology and best practices. Beyond further enhancing the connection and network with academic CPD/CME leaders, liV gained visibility and insights into effective instructional design and educational approaches being utilized across Canada, the USA, and Europe to improve patient and public health outcomes.

Some of the innovative and interesting topics discussed included:
